The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted Mr. Mfo Richard Tibetor, a teacher at Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School within the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region, following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a female student.
In a statement released on Thursday, October 2, GES expressed its concern regarding a troubling video circulating on social media that purportedly implicates Mr. Tibetor.
The management characterised the alleged behaviour as unacceptable, unethical, and a blatant infringement of the professional code of conduct applicable to educators.
The statement further indicated that Mr. Tibetor has been suspended and is prohibited from accessing school premises while investigations are ongoing.
GES reassured parents, guardians, and the public that the safety and protection of students is its foremost priority. It emphasised that any educator found culpable of actions that undermine the dignity and welfare of students will be subjected to the full extent of legal repercussions in accordance with the GES Code of Conduct.
