Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO), Abdul-Wahab Hanan Aludiba, has denied corruption allegations made against him by Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine, calling the claims “untrue” and “deeply unfortunate”.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 22, Mr. Aludiba said he had no involvement in the matters raised and had instructed his lawyers to take appropriate steps to protect his reputation.
“I wish to state, respectfully, that these claims are untrue and do not reflect the facts of the matter. I have no involvement in the issues being referred to, and I find the comments deeply unfortunate,” the statement read.
He added that his legal team is reviewing the situation and may consider legal action in response to the accusations.
Mr. Aludiba expressed confidence in clearing his name through the proper legal channels.
“I look forward to the opportunity to present my side and to have my day in court, where I am confident that the truth will be made clear,” he said.
His response follows remarks made by the Attorney General during a government press briefing in Accra, part of the Government Accountability Series organised by the Presidency’s Communications Directorate.
Dr. Ayine had publicly linked Mr. Aludiba to alleged corruption, including the acquisition of luxury assets reportedly purchased using misappropriated public funds.
Mr. Aludiba was arrested by EOCO (Economic and Organised Crime Office) on June 25, 2025, along with his wife, over allegations of large-scale financial misconduct during his time at NAFCO.
He was detained for two weeks and later granted bail of GH¢60 million with two sureties.
Despite the ongoing investigations, Mr. Aludiba maintained that he has always acted with honesty, transparency, and integrity throughout his career.
