Appetizer: Ham Cornets From Vienna

Attractive and easy-to-prepare appetizers are ham cornets filled with combinations of the favorite foods of the Viennese.

1 package (8 ounces) of cream cheese.

1 cup sour cream.

1 tablespoon freshly grated or prepared horseradish.

One-fourth cup minced chives.

Paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.

12 4-inch squares of thinly sliced boiled ham

 

Spread the hard slices with pork or liver paste and roll up.

Decorate the open ends with slices of hard-cooked egg and sprinklings of parsley.

Saute chopped mushrooms in butter. Flavor with lemon juice and nutmeg. Mix with sour cream. Garnish the tops with chopped fresh dill.
