Ade Coker has passed on

Joseph Kobina Ade Coker, a former chairman of the Greater Accra Regional branch of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), has passed away.

He died at the Bank Hospital on Sunday morning, according to reports.

Coker served as the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC from 2009 until 2022, when he lost his re-election bid to Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the current chairman.

In addition to his political career, he was also a well-known football administrator, having served as the Vice Chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and held the esteemed role of Chairman of Accra Great Olympics FC.
