I train my son not to beat women – Akuapem Poloo

Ghanaian actress and socialite, Akuapem Poloo, known in real life as Rosemond Brown, has disclosed that she abhors domestic violence in marriage, which is why she trains her son to desist from engaging in any fight against women.

Akuapem Poloo’s comments against domestic violence follow a recent incident involving Regina Daniels, a popular Nollywood actress, who accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of domestic violence.

A viral video showed Regina Daniels in distress, claiming she couldn’t take the violence anymore. Following the news trending on social media, Akuapem Poloo posted a photograph of Regina Daniels under the caption: “They just want to frustrate my lady baby girl @reginal.daniels stay strong okay. It’s well, say no to an abusive relationship.”

In a subsequent post, which captured Akuapem Poloo in an all white outfit, the actress wrote, “As a responsible, respectful, well-trained man, never raise your hand on a woman to abuse her, no matter what. This is all I tell my son always. Gentlemen don’t throw hands or fight.”

The caption has received applause from a number of celebrities, including American rap star Cardi B, among others.
