Newly signed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Xavi Simons has said that he will bring flair, hard work and discipline to the team after officially joining the Lilywhites.
The 22-year-old Dutch international joined Spurs from German side RB Leipzig on a 60 million Euros five-year deal after long, drawn-out transfer discussions.
Despite being just 22 years old, Simons has competed in the Dutch League, French League and German top flight playing for the likes of PSV Eindhoven, Paris Saint-Germain and Leipzig.
In his first official interview after joining Spurs, Simons talked about how confident he was about bringing flair to Thomas Frank’s team, stating,

“It’s a great Club and when I met the Head Coach I knew straight away that this was the right place for me. I will bring flair to the team but also hard work and discipline. I want to do everything I can to win, for the team and also for the fans.”

Two games into the 2025-2026 English Premier League season, Tottenham Hotspur have won both games without conceding a goal. Spurs take on AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, August 30 at 14:00 GMT.
