Nigerian singer and songwriter Simi has opened up about her lack of close friendships within the entertainment industry, revealing that her personality may not align with the demands of the spotlight.
In a recent interview with media personality VJ Adams, Simi explained that she has no friends in the entertainment industry because she’s rather introverted, and her friends are her friends.
“My friends in the industry they’re my guys. They’re not friends because they are in the industry,” she explained
She went on to explain that while she’s passionate about music, she doesn’t naturally thrive in the social dynamics that often define the entertainment world.
I’m really bad at that and I always say that I think I have the wrong personality for the industry I have the passion for. I’m only doing music because I like music and there are many things that I like and know how to do but I feel like my personality is not compatible.
