Parliament has announced a reshuffling of its committee leadership, with MP for Bonga Central, Isaac Adongo, appointed as the new Chairperson of the Finance Committee.

This key role places him at the forefront of overseeing Ghana’s fiscal policies and economic management.

Known for his strong stance on financial matters, Adongo is expected to bring heightened scrutiny to government spending and economic decisions.

In another major change, MP for Atiwa East, Abena Osei-Asare, has been named Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), taking over from former Ketu North MP James Avedzi.

The PAC is crucial in ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.

These leadership changes, along with other committee adjustments, aim to enhance parliamentary oversight and strengthen governance, reinforcing Parliament’s role in promoting fiscal discipline and efficiency in public administration.
