The police have arrested an 18-year-old young man for allegedly shooting an ‘okada’ driver to death in Adugyama, in the Ahafo Ano South-East District of the Ashanti Region.
According to an eyewitness, the suspect, after committing the crime, fled the scene aboard the victim’s motorcycle, leaving the rider to die from his injuries.
In a surprising turn of events, the suspect was later involved in an accident during his attempted getaway, which resulted in his arrest.
The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night [March 4, 2025].
Following the crash, he was taken to Mankranso Hospital for medical attention.
Tensions rose when a group of Okada riders, angered by the loss of their fellow rider, gathered at the hospital demanding justice.

Police swiftly intervened to prevent further violence and secured the suspect.
Currently, he is in police custody, aiding in the ongoing investigation.
