The area is currently plunged into darkness due to the destruction of power infrastructure.

The region, which is predominantly agricultural, saw farmers’ livelihoods destroyed in the storm. These farmers, already struggling due to the recent drought, now face the loss of crops such as maize, groundnuts, soybeans, and Barbara beans.

Without assistance, they will have nothing to sustain them in the short term.

The residents have described the storm as intense, leaving chaos and widespread destruction behind. Many are left to pick up the pieces, counting their losses and assessing the damage.

The community’s Assembly member, Kenneth Kwame Ndignum, has appealed for help and support from the government and other agencies to assist those affected.
