Ghana international Tariq Lamptey scored a stupendous goal for Brighton and Hove Albion when they shared the spoils with Leicester City in the English Premier League at the weekend.
Lamptey, who has been in fine form in recent weeks played full throttle of the match as Brighton played out a 2-2 draw with the Foxes at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 37th-minute mark through Lamptey, who curled a left-footed strike into the top corner after cutting inside from the wing.
Despite Leicester’s pressure, the Seagulls doubled their lead late on when Yankuba Minteh weaved past defenders to score what looked like the winner.
However, Leicester City staged a strong comeback to settle for a draw against Brighton on home turf.
Experienced forward Jamie Vardy pulled one back in the dying minutes before setting up Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s equaliser in dramatic fashion.
The 24-year-old has made seven appearances this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists across competitions for Brighton.
In the Premier League, Lamptey has one goal and two assists in four appearances.
