Nketiah’s Nottingham Forest transfer talks stall despite progress

Nottingham Forest’s bid to sign Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal has stalled after negotiations between the two clubs broke down.

Despite initial reports suggesting a £ 30 million deal was in place and personal terms agreed, the transfer has hit a snag.

Nketiah, who seeks regular playing time, is still expected to leave Arsenal before the summer transfer window closes.

The 25-year-old English-Ghanaian forward has attracted interest from Marseille and other clubs.

With 38 goals in 168 Arsenal appearances, Nketiah has struggled to secure a starting spot.

He spent time on loan at Leeds United in 2019/20 and has been an unused substitute in Arsenal’s first two Premier League games this season.

Nketiah, capped once by England, joined Arsenal from Chelsea’s youth academy in 2015 and signed a new contract until 2027 in 2022.
