Hasaacas Ladies Football Club’s prospects of advancing to the next round of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers are under threat after managing only a single point from two matches.
The Ghanaian team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Nigeria’s Edo Queens in their second game at the Stade de la Paix Bouake in Cote D’Ivoire, following a surprise goalless draw with Burkina Faso’s Omnisport.
Edo Queens, who thrashed AS Garde 5-0 in their opener, have virtually secured top spot in Group B with six points from two games.
Peace Emem Essien scored a brace (57′, 67′) and Olajumoke Abideen sealed the win (87′) for Edo Queens.
Meanwhile, Omnisport moved to second place with four points after routing AS Garde 6-1 in the group’s other match.
Omnisport’s Adama Congo was named as the Best Player of the Match; Only the top two ranked teams progress to the next round.
