Port City have secured qualification to the Ghana National Division One League after triumphing in the Eastern Regional Division Two Middle League.
The Kukurantumi-based club dominated the middle league, winning all five games and accumulating 15 points to book a spot in the upcoming Division One League.
Port City, led by former Hearts of Oak coach Edward Nii Odoom had a scintillating middle league campaign, after scoring eighteen goals and conceding just a goal throughout the competition as they secure historic promotion to the Ghanaian second-tier league.
Nii Odoom is expected to lead the ambitious lower-tier team as they seek to achieve greater heights in the Ghanaian football.
Port City will compete in Zone Three of the 2024/25 Division One League. They will hope to make a meaningful impact in the second-tier league.
Okwahu United, who clinched qualification last season from the Eastern Regional Division Two league has so far impressed in the Division One League. They are currently in the top four race after a stellar campaign.
However, Port City will be aiming to emulate the Ghanaian giants in their debut appearance in the Division One League.
