GFA’s Domestic Leagues Committee reviews various competitions at Tuesday’s meeting

The Domestic Leagues Committee (DLC) convened a strategic planning session on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Headquarters.

Chaired by Dr. Tony Aubynn, the 10-member committee addressed various concerns regarding the FA’s competitions.

Discussions encompassed assessments of the ongoing 2023-24 football season across different leagues and the formulation of policies for the remaining matches. Additionally, plans for the upcoming 2024-25 season were initiated.

Prosper Harrison Addo Esq, the GFA General Secretary emphasized the important role of the DLC in fostering synergy among the Ghana Premier League, Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, and Access Bank Division One League activities.

He urged collaboration with other GFA bodies for seamless operations, assuring full support from the Association.

Dr. Aubynn reiterated the committee’s responsibility to enhance league standards to bolster local talent development. He expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to elevate the leagues’ quality, ensuring both enjoyment and integrity.

Deputies George Gyawu and Hilary Boateng, former Ghanaian international Sam Johnson, and other committee members participated in the discussions.
