Nigeria Offers Political Asylum To Former Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma

Sierra Leone’s former President Ernest Bai Koroma who was allegedly implicated in a failed coup in his country, has been negotiated out of his country by Ecowas.

On 4th January, the former President would be airlifted by Ecowas from Freetown to Nigeria’s Federal Capital Abuja.

The deal was reached on 23rd of December last year during an Ecowas delegation visit to Freetown by Senegalese President Macky Sall, Ghana’s leader, Nana Akufo Addo, and the President of the Ecowas Commission, Omar Alieu Touray.
