Peace Without Gloss

Peace Without Gloss

At times, people wear the cloak of pretense, showing off a gloss without inner peace.

In the image associated with this story, you find some young men doing menial jobs. Ordinarily, the work they do is not attractive to others as a dream vocation, yet those in it are quietly reaping the benefits, with sound minds.

Both self-employed, one was found selling coconuts, and the other as an attendant to a long vehicle that retails bagged charcoal.

Some men of their age are into crime. Their kinds are sometimes found in lavish lifestyles, until they are exposed one fine day. Young men who have taken to crime in the get-rich-overnight syndrome, are engaged in a do or die business.

They kill but when over-powered by the law enforcement agencies in the exchange of gunfire their lives are terminated by the professional marksmen. Some are beaten to pulp by mobsters, permanently separating the criminals from their booties.
