2023 Afcon: CAF inspection team is set to visit Yamoussoukro, Korhogo, Bouake, and San Pedro

In a pivotal step towards the much-anticipated 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, a delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is poised to embark on a comprehensive inspection tour of host cities.

This five-day mission, conducted in close collaboration with the Local Organising Committee (COCAN), is set to encompass Yamoussoukro, Korhogo, Bouake, and San Pedro, cities that will play a pivotal role in shaping the prestigious tournament’s success next year.

The five-day mission scheduled for 16 – 20 October 2023, will afford the delegation a first-hand experience on the state of readiness of the four cities of the areas on Sporting Infrastructure (Stadia, Training sites), Accommodation (Hotel) amongst others for the tournament.

The inspections come in the wake of the successful draw held on 12 October 2023 at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Abidjan.

The Black Stars of Ghana find themselves in Group B alongside football powerhouse Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the 2023 AFCON or CAN 2023 will be held from 13 January to 11 February 2024. 24 countries will compete for the trophy in six venues.
