CAF Champions League: Booking group stage slot didn’t come easy – Medeama President

Moses Armah, the President of Medeama, has emphasized the numerous challenges the club confronted on their journey to secure a spot in the group stage of the 2023/24 CAF Champions League.

The Yellow and Mauves earned the opportunity to represent Ghana in this year’s competition by clinching the Premier League title.

They further demonstrated their mettle by triumphing over two formidable opponents in the qualifiers, thus securing their place in the coveted Money Zone.

In their final qualifying match, Medeama faced a setback, succumbing to a 2-1 defeat against Horya. However, their impressive performance in the first leg, where they secured a 3-1 victory at the Cape Coast Stadium, ultimately paved the way for their advancement to the group stage.

During a press conference organized by the club on Monday, October 2, Armah shed light on the trials and tribulations that Medeama endured in order to attain this significant stage.

“We made his history together in Conakry last Saturday and this is a memorable event we must all cherish,” he said.
