“Even animals don’t engage in homosexuality” – Boateng Gyan

Former National Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan has lashed out at people promoting and engaging in homosexuality in Ghana.

He described them as the lowest grade of animals that defile the natural principles of God.

Mr. Boateng Gyan explained that even animals who do not reason like human beings, do not even engage in homosexuality, making it impossible to classify human beings who engage in same sex relationships.

Commenting on the introduction of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in the basic school curriculum, expected to be taught next academic year, Yaw Boateng Gyan said, it is a satanic agenda to introduce abominable acts in the country.

” . . we pray to God to help us reject such a policy. This is a satanic agenda to introduce such abominable act into the country . . . God in His natural setup has already designed how people should have sex when the time comes,” he stated.

According to him, the mindset behind the idea that the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) will teach the children about preventing sexually transmitted infections is the same mindset of those practicing homosexuality.

He argues that the advocators of the CSE are planning to inculcate homosexuality  into Ghanaian children, under the guise of preventing sexually transmitted infections.

“Those preaching homosexuality, did their fathers have sex with fellow men to give birth to them? Or those ladies engaging in lesbianism, did their mothers have sex with their fellow women to give birth to them? They came through the right channel and that should be the right way to be encouraged,” he indicated.

He however pleaded with Ghanaians and politicians not to politicize the issue at hand.

“If it is about personal hygiene that they wanted to teach our children, it is good news, but if it is about sexual intercourse at this tender age, they should wait till the children grow to become adults at the tertiary level before teaching them,” he suggested.

He suggested that the Ghana Education Service (GES) should rather teach the children things which will make them fear God, develop love for the country and become good citizens, in order to take over the good doctrine and teach the next generation.

“With the issue of sex, it is not someone who has to teach the children. Then, why don’t we teach them how to eat food? It happens naturally. Male dogs don’t mate male dogs; even animals don’t engage in homosexuality . . .  then, those human beings engaging in homosexuality are the lowest species of all animals because animals will not do what they are doing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has said the government has not approved the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) document for use by teachers in basic schools.

“The Ministry would like to state categorically that . . . the curriculum framework for KG-P6 that has been approved by Cabinet from the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment [NaCCA] for use in the development of school curricula and published on NaCCA website does not include anything on Comprehensive Sexuality Education,” the Minister said at a press conference on Tuesday.

He maintained the National Council for Curriculum Assessment has also not submitted to the Ministry any document relating to the CSE.
