Suspected armed robbers numbering about four have attacked a phone shop at Kwame Danso in the Sene West District, Bono East Region killing two persons and injuring three others.
The suspects stole phones and other accessories worth thousands of Ghana Cedis in the heist that occurred Saturday, July 22, 2023.
The criminals are said to have stormed the shop shortly after a power outage within Kwame Danso around 7:40 pm and bolted before power was restored.
The victims are receiving treatment at the Yeji Hospital.
Bodies of the deceased, Adamu Ibrahim, 40 and Abubakar Karim, 19 have been handed over to the family.
Meanwhile, the Atebubu Divisional Police Commander Chief Superintendent Caesar Abanga visited the crime scene and the bereaved family.
He vowed to ensure that the criminals are arrested and prosecuted.
Chief Superintendent Caesar Abanga also urged persons with information on the suspects to assist the Police bring them to book.
