A lady reported to be about 25 years of age has been knocked down by a speeding car at Flat Top, on the Abeka-Lapaz stretch of the N1 Highway.
According to the driver of a Honda CRV with registration number GE-8673-10, his car developed a fault at the accident scene before the accident, but as a result of the speed at which the cars were coming, he couldn’t alight from his car.

The Honda driver narrating the sequence of events disclosed that, as he also awaited the appropriate time to alight from his car and attend to it, the deceased walked to the front of his car and spotted an opportunity to cross the road, in the process of crossing the road she couldn’t make it to the other side when a speeding car knocked her down and another car run over her body severing one arm and leg off her body.
Consequently, about five cars crashed into each other at the spot, he narrated.
Residents in the area recounted that today’s accident makes it the seventh time this month that accidents have claimed the lives of people on that stretch.
