It would’ve passed as one of Ghana’s most sightly places. However, this is dealt a huge blow by sheer negligence and abandonment.
There have been a rush to fix roads in smaller towns in the Eastern region while the regional capital is left to chance.
Koforidua is recognized by Google as one of Ghana’s prime areas because of its natural sights or rich vegetative cover. So green is the city that it presents itself as unique, probably wearing the badge of Kumasi as the garden city, yet its roads are very poor.
Last December, the issue of poor, unbefitting roads of Koforidua caught the attention of Ghana Report, which issued a story titled “Koforidua the beautiful city with poor roads”. The publication gained massive readership as to suggest all were waiting for a whistleblower on the obvious.
This update shows how bad the roads are in the Eastern regional capital, aggravated and exposed by the torrential rains.
