Ghana forward Ibrahim Sadiq has won the 2023 Swedish Cup with BK Hacken following a compressive 4-1 win over Mjallby on Thursday afternoon at Stradvallen.

It is his second trophy with the club after winning the league title a year ago.

The 23-year-old scored twice in the game to inspire his side to a third consecutive cup victory, taking his tally to seven goals in six games.

Sadiq’s first goal came as he cleverly evaded the Mjällby defense, positioning himself perfectly to connect with a well-delivered free-kick from Mikkel Rygaard Jensen, powerfully heading the ball into the net.

Moments later, Sadiq seized another opportunity as Lars Olden Larsen set him up with a precise pass, allowing the Ghanaian striker to finish from close range.

Midfielder Mikkel Rygaard Jensen extended Häcken’s lead with a well-taken goal, showcasing his technical abilities. Samuel Gustafson later added to the tally, cementing Häcken’s dominance over their opponents.

Mjällby AIF, determined to salvage some pride, managed to find the back of the net through Max Fenger, reducing the deficit. However, their efforts proved insufficient to mount a comeback against the relentless Häcken side.
