The Church of Pentecost, where gospel artiste Piesie Esther fellowships, has poured out massive support for her to win the Artiste of the Year and other awards at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
Piesie Esther is an ordained officer with the title ‘Deaconess’ in the aforementioned church.
She has been nominated for seven categories which are: Best Artiste of the Year, Best Gospel Artiste of the Year, Best Gospel Song of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, Best Female Vocalist of the Year, Best Music Video of the Year, and the Best Songwriter of the Year.
In a Facebook post, the Church of Pentecost encouraged the church members and the general public to support Piesie Esther by voting to win all the categories.
Piesie Esther is confident of bagging all seven awards at the VGMA, but the votes of the public are what will determine the outcome of the event scheduled for Saturday, 6th May 2023, at the Accra International Conference Center.
Piesie Esther is facing stiff competition from Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, King Promise, Camidoh, Kidi and Joe Mettle, all nominees for the Artiste of the Year award.
The Church of Pentecost is confident of helping to claim the crown for Piesie Esther, as similar support for Diana Hamilton resulted in her winning the VGMA Artiste of the Year in 2021.
