Canadian-born Ghanaian actress Haille Sumney has said Nigerians are more successful in all their endeavours because they are very aggressive in life.

“Nigerians are very aggressive in everything they do, and because of that, they get way ahead. So I feel like we (Ghanaians) should put in more work and be more aggressive like them to get ahead too,” she told host of Café99.5 Caroline Sampson on Friday, April 14.

She added: “They can project their movies further than Ghana, and that’s one upper hand they have on us.”

According to her Ghanaians are very professional, “But we are doing very well, and when I go to Nigeria, they respect the Ghanaian actors a lot especially because of our veterans.”

Actress and producer, Salma Mumin added that “They are always ahead and get things done quickly because they want to make it by all means no matter what, and if you get in their way you know already….”

“They have cinemas all over the country, so if you are premiering a film, you have options, unlike in Ghana, where you can only premiere at Silverbird, Accra Mall, or West Hills Mall,” she said.

“But we are still pushing, and we believe things are going to get better; they are already beginning to look better. We have a lot of amazing films that are coming out of Ghana.”
