Stop selling weed to students – Abaasa Tech. Institute authorities warn youth

The Management of Abaasa Technical Institute in the Central Region has admonished some unscrupulous youth in the town to desist from selling marijuana to the students.

The School authorities have accused some Youths in the area of selling the narcotic substance to their students to the practice so the students do not get distracted in their academic work.

The Disciplinary Committee Chairman of Enyan Abaasa Technical Institute Mr. David Edumadze whilst addressing the Chiefs and stakeholders in the Community during a Traditional Council Meeting, indicated culprits will be severely dealt with when caught.

According to him, the school is doing well academically and won’t entertain negative interference to draw back the performance of the students.

The District Education Director of Ajumako Enyan Essiam Mrs. Sabina Aba Wilson also appealed to parents to be concerned about the education of their children.

She bemoaned the refusal of some parents to support their ward’s basic needs all in the name of Free Senior High School.

Mrs. Wilson then appealed to the Chiefs, Stakeholders, NGOs, and Private Individuals to support the school in its development by assisting in making provisions for toilet facilities, adequate dormitories, classroom blocks, school buses, and other development that will help run the school smoothly.

She added that though the government is doing its best to support the school, parents should also help make the school a better place for their wards.
