Famous Ghanaian female TikToker Naomi Asiamah has disclosed that her iconic name ‘Hajia Bintu’ was given to her by a male friend whiles working as a waitress at Peduase Valley Resort in 2018.
According to her, one day, a gentleman saw her at the Peduase Valley Resort and said, “you’re so beautiful. I would have called you ‘Bintu’, which means ‘mother’ if you were my wife”.
Naomi, now Hajia Bintu, said she fell in love with the name ‘Bintu’, and from that moment, she decided to add ‘Hajia’ to the Bintu, making it ‘Hajia Bintu’ although she is not a Muslim.
Hajia Bintu revealed this in an interview with Delay over the weekend.
Speaking on whether she has done liposuction, she said the body viewers see on social media is her natural body as she debunked claims of plastic surgery.
“As you grow, the body also does, and if you look at my old pictures, I wasn’t skinny.”
Hajia Bintu, who currently has over 1.9 million followers on TikTok, said she makes her money from adverts or promos on social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram and Twitter.
