The President of the Tijaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana, Sheikh Abul-Faidi Abdulai Ahmed Maikano has expressed his condolences and prayerful support to the Government and the People of Turkiye over the unfortunate news of the tragedy which has befallen Turkiye and Syria.
The two neighbouring countries were hit by a devastating earthquake that has left 35,000 dead so far and many others injured. The disaster’s victims include nationals of other countries.
The supreme leader of Tijaniyya Ghana who doubles as the President of Tijaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana,
Sheikh Abul-Faidi Abdulai Ahmed Maikano, therefore, urges Turkiye not to let the unfortunate situation set them back but rather organise themselves and move on.
He praises the President of Turkiye His excellency, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the rescuers for their efforts in ensuring some victims are pulled alive.

Also, I wish those who sustained various degrees of injury a speedy recovery.”
