CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe lands in Rabat ahead of FIFA Club World Cup games

Dr. Patrice Motsepe, President of CAF, has landed in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 third and fourth place games, as well as the Final.

The third and fourth-place match will feature Al Ahly, an African team looking to win a bronze medal versus Flamengo in Tangier.

Al Ahly beat Auckland City 3-0 in the 1/8th stage, 1-0 against MLS side Seattle Sounders in the quarterfinals, and lost 4-1 against La Liga champions Real Madrid. The third and fourth-place match will take place tomorrow kick off at 15:30 GMT.

Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal stunned South American champions Flamengo to reach the Club World Cup final with a 3-2 victory on Tuesday thanks to two penalties from Salem Al Dawsari and a goal from Luciano Vietto.

Dr. Patrice Motsepe will also be in Rabat for the final between Real Madrid and Al Hilal which will also take place tomorrow at 19: 00 GMT.

Veron Mosengo-Omba, the CAF General Secretary, joins the CAF President.
