As a result, the qualifiers for the tournament may be halted to pave way for African countries that have qualified for the World Cup to get adequate time to prepare.

Ghana was supposed to play Angola in a double-header during the September international break.

The West African powerhouse remained unbeaten in Group E of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
