Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has named an 18-man squad ahead of their outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture against Ashanti Gold to be played later today.
The Porcupine Warriors are looking forward to being crowned champions of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League. The only way they can achieve that is to avoid defeat against the Miners at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium.
Kotoko sit top of the league table with 59 points, nine points above second-placed Bechem United, who have played a game more.
A win or draw against the Miners will mean Asante Kotoko will extend their lead to 60 points or 62 points, and this will mean the Reds, under Prosper Narteh Ogum, have won the Premier League with three games to spare.
Kotoko will be heading into the game without Captain Abdul Ganiyu Ismail, who is injured, and defender Yussif Mubarik who is out of the squad because of an illness.
Midfielder Mudasiru Salifu is also out of today’s match due to suspension.
Below is the full Asante Kotoko squad for the AshantiGold SC clash:
