Out-gone AshantiGold SC head coach Ernest Thompson Quartey has labelled huge allegations on the club’s Technical Director Ricardo da Rocha blaming him for his sack from the club.

The enterprising gaffer got relieved off his duties after their painful loss to King Faisal last Sunday in week 3 of the ongoing season.

The ex- Ebusua Dwarfs coach joined the Miners prior to the commencement of the campaign but got jettisoned after just two months in what is described as poor performance.

During his stay in Obuasi,  he played three matches, recorded a win against Eleven Wonders in Techiman, drew to Karela United at home before losing to the ‘Insha Allah’ lads over the weekend which propelled his exit.

Breaking his silence for the first time after the sack, Ernest Thompson has accused his Technical Director Ricardo da Rocha for his sack.

Also, he added by saying no coach will succeed in Obuasi when the Brazilian is still at post. He said;

“That man called [Ricardo] da Rocha, the Brazilian at AshantiGold, if he doesn’t leave there no coach will succeed there.

“My basis for saying that is, when you go there, he that has no qualification or whatsoever and not fit to coach in the Ghana premier league is your [AshantiGold] Technical Director.

“Secondly he will pretend he is fine with you, he will smile, laugh with you, eat with you, drink and whatever with you. Because when we train we select and decide who should be in the team.”

“When I present the squad to the president, the president goes behind to ask him as a technical director to come up with his list and then he will intentionally send a different list to show that we weren’t united or we weren’t taking instructions from him.”

“And that is what he has been doing and that is why no coach succeeds when he goes there and that is the information I gathered.”

“So I have told Obuasi folks to be careful of that man because if he still remains at AshantiGold, the club will never progress, he is not a good man, he doesn’t speak the truth.” He concluded
