Management of Asante Kotoko have decided to offload eight players in order to accommodate their new additions before the new season begins next month.
The Kumasi-based club is expected to release players deemed surplus by the new technical team led by Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
According to reports, some of the casualties are deputy captain of the club, Emmanuel Gyamfi who was offered a one-year contract extension a few months ago as well as Habib Mohammed whose contract was expected to expire in 2022.
There are also reports to place Latif Anabila, Kwame Adom Frimpong and Godfred Asiamah on sale for clubs who will need their services.
Duo Emmanuel Sarkodie and Osman Ibrahim will be loaned out to fellow Premier League outfits to aid their developments as young footballers, a close source of the club revealed.
Also, Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement with Medeama SC over the possible sale of Samuel Frimpong in the ongoing transfer window.
Already, the likes of skipper Felix Annan, Augustine Okrah, Martin Antwi, Richard Senanu and Wahab Adams have left the club following the expiration of their respective contracts.

Asante Kotoko have already signed eight players namely Clinton Opoku, Richmond Lamptey, Maxwell Agyemang, Samuel Boateng, Isaac Oppong, Richard Boadu, Augustine Agyapong and Samuel Appiah.
